What is Office 365?

In a nutshell, Office 365 is a subscription service that ensures that you always have the latest productivity tools from Microsoft. There are Office 365 plans for personal and home use, as well as for small and medium businesses, large enterprises, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.

What is Office 365

For a small monthly or annual fee, you can get the latest version of Office 365 install on your PC or Mac. Within the subscription you get all new updates as well as brand new features and tools. You also get OneDrive cloud storage with 1TB capacity - equivalent to about 1 million documents or 300,000 image files.

Work anywhere

Also included: Office Mobile Apps. By storing data in the cloud, you always have access to your files and can complete your tasks on almost any device. So with full access to the data, you can start creating a document on your PC or Mac, continue editing on your tablet, and complete it on your smartphone.

Save any type of file, including images, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. Office 365 comes with Mobile Office versions for all your devices, so you can use Office 365 almost anywhere. By the way, Mobile Apps include premium features you can't get anywhere else.

What subscriptions are available?

The subscriptions are adapted to the needs of medium-sized companies and are calculated per user. They are basically graded as follows:

  • Pure mail usage and administration
  • Use of Office applications
  • Use of office applications, mail usage and management

Of course, individual adjustments are possible and your employees can - depending on requirements - book different subscriptions.

What is the difference to Office 2019?

You can buy and install Office 2019 once on a PC or Mac. That's why you get security updates, but no new features or tools. So if the next major version of Office is released, you'll need to buy it again.
